Round Table on Rail Infrastructure Charges 2017

Aim: The aim of the round table was to bring experience with rail infrastructure charging in Europe.

At the beginning of the round table Martin Kvizda introduced the GOF4R project, where the research team of Masaryk University is involved in. Afterwards the discussion about the interoperability and travel companion followed.

The following presentations covered national practice in calculating direct costs of infrastructure use, marked-up applications and incentives to optimize the use of the infrastructure. We were especially focused on analyses of how infrastructure charging regimes promote/block development of competition for rail services.
